Prerna Yog Utsav 2026 celebrated with spiritual fervour and vibrant participation at Amity International School, Lucknow

Lucknow: Amity International School, Viraj Khand–5, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, witnessed an atmosphere of devotion, discipline and youthful energy as it celebrated Prerna Yog Utsav 2026 with great enthusiasm and reverence.

This event was organised on the occasion of birthday of Chairperson, Amity International Schoos, Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan. The event beautifully blended the essence of Indian tradition with the spirit of holistic well-being, reinforcing the significance of yoga in nurturing both mind and body.

The programme commenced on a spiritually uplifting note with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, Dr. Somveer Arya, a distinguished yoga scholar, practitioner followed by the soulful chanting of the Gayatri Mantra, creating a serene and positive ambience across the campus.

Addressing the gathering, the School Principal, Rachna Mishra, delivered a motivating speech, urging students to incorporate yoga into their daily lives for achieving mental clarity, physical fitness and emotional balance. She emphasised that yoga is not merely a practice but a way of life that fosters inner harmony and resilience in today’s fast-paced world.

The celebration witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who showcased their talent and dedication through a series of engaging activities including Om Chanting, Yoga Quiz, and Artistic & Rhythmic Yoga performances. The participants impressed the audience with their remarkable discipline, coordination, flexibility and creative expression, reflecting rigorous training and deep commitment.

Chief Guest, Dr. Somveer Arya, In his insightful address, highlighted the timeless relevance of yoga in achieving holistic health and encouraged students to embrace yogic practices as a means to lead a balanced and purposeful life. His words served as a source of inspiration for both students and faculty members.

The successful execution of the event was made possible under the dedicated efforts and guidance of Yoga teacher Monika Yadav, who meticulously trained the students and ensured the smooth conduct of all activities.

The celebration culminated in a grand prize distribution ceremony, recognising excellence and participation. LPC Gomti Nagar secured the first position, followed by Birla Open Minds, Sitapur Road in second place, while Amity International School, Vrindavan Yojna clinched the third position.

The winners were applauded for their outstanding performances, discipline and commitment to the spirit of yoga.
